The story
Why ride
around the world?
Small human.
Small motorcycle.
Enormous world.
The idea is ridiculously simple.
Leave Glasgow on a motorcycle. Keep riding.
Across countries, continents, cultures and roads I've never seen before. And eventually — ride back into Glasgow.
There is no record attempt here, no sponsorship-driven stunt and no attempt to be the fastest, the youngest or the first. The route matters less than the fact that it keeps going, and that at the end of it there is a street in Glasgow that will look exactly the same while everything else has changed.
Seventy-five thousand miles is roughly three laps of the planet. It is long enough that the journey stops being a holiday and starts being a life. Long enough that the interesting part is never the motorcycle. It's the border guards, the roadside mechanics, the families who wave you into their kitchen, the mountain passes that take an entire day and the flat, boring, endless roads in between.
The rider isn't the story. The world is the story. The motorcycle is just how we get to see it.
